Day 1: Arrival, River Cruise & Night Trek

07:30 - 09:00 AM: Pick up from Pangkalan Bun airport or your hotel.

Embarkation: Board your traditional Klotok houseboat at Kumai harbor.

Tanjung Harapan: Sail to Tanjung Harapan for the afternoon orangutan feeding station and light trekking.

Wildlife Spotting: Cruise along the Sekonyer River to spot wild Proboscis monkeys and other wildlife while enjoying a relaxing boat snack.

Night Trek: After dinner on board, head out for an exciting guided night trek to spot nocturnal animals and glowing mushrooms.

 

Day 2: Pondok Tanggui, Camp Leakey & Fireflies

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

Breakfast on Board: Start your morning with a fresh breakfast cooked right on the houseboat.

Pondok Tanggui: Trek through the forest to catch the morning orangutan feeding session.

The Black River: Cruise further inland into the iconic, mirror-like waters of the Black River.

Camp Leakey: Visit the world-famous Camp Leakey, the historic research and rehabilitation center for orangutans.

Sunset & Fireflies: Enjoy an afternoon snack while witnessing a stunning river sunset. Cap off the evening with a magical Firefly Dinner as thousands of fireflies light up the riverside nipa palms.

 

Day 3: Dayak Culture & Departure

Meals: Breakfast

 

Nipah Palm Area:  The scenic Nipah palm ecosystem during your final morning cruise.

Final Breakfast: Savor your last breakfast on board the Klotok as we head back to the port.

Betang Dayak House: Visit a traditional Dayak longhouse to experience local cultural heritage.

10:00 AM: Transfer back to Pangkalan Bun airport or your hotel. Tour ends.

💡 Good to Know

If your departure flight on Day 3 is in the morning, we can easily adjust the itinerary and provide an earlier drop-off. The airport is just a quick 15-minute drive from Kumai harbor.

Day 1: Arrival & River Adventure

Embarkation: Transfer to the harbor and board your traditional Klotok houseboat.

River Cruise: Begin cruising down the Sekonyer River, your home in the jungle for the next few days.

Tanjung Harapan: Stop at Tanjung Harapan for the afternoon orangutan feeding session and a light jungle trek.

Night Trek: After a freshly prepared dinner on board, head out for an exciting night trek to spot nocturnal wildlife and unique jungle organisms.

 

Day 2: Deep Jungle & Camp Leakey

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

Jungle Trekking: Enjoy breakfast on the boat before embarking on a Long Trekking experience in the Jerumbun area, heading deeper into the pristine Borneo rainforest.

The Black River: Cruise through the iconic, mirror-like waters of the Black River.

Camp Leakey: Visit the world-famous Camp Leakey, the historic research and rehabilitation center where you can see orangutans and learn about decades of conservation work.

 

Day 3: More Orangutans, Village Life & Fireflies

Pondok Tanggui: Start the day with a morning trek at Pondok Tanggui to witness another fascinating orangutan feeding session.

Local Culture: Visit the Sekonyer Dayak Village to get a glimpse of local riverside life and community culture.

Canoeing Adventure: Experience the river from a closer perspective with a relaxing canoeing session.

Firefly Dinner: Savor a magical final dinner on board, surrounded by thousands of fireflies lighting up the riverside trees.

 

Day 4: Nipah Forest & Departure

Nipah Cruise: Enjoy your final breakfast on board as the Klotok gently cruises through the scenic Nipah palm forest back to Kumai Port.

Cultural Stop: If your flight schedule allows, enjoy an optional visit to a traditional Betang Dayak House.

Departure: Transfer back to Pangkalan Bun airport or your hotel. Tour ends.
